Meeting in Glasgow demands the release of the Catalan political prisoners

ANC Scotland (Assemblea Nacional Catalana – Scotland/Alba) has organised a public meeting today in Glasgow to demand the release of the Catalan political prisoners. The meeting takes place in Renfields St Stephens at 260 Bath Street, Glasgow, G2 4JP at 2.30pm today (Sun 26 Nov 2017) and its purpose is to raise awareness of the situation in Catalonia and organise solidarity to call for the release of political prisoners jailed by the Spanish State after the 1 October independence referendum.

Speakers include:

  • David Karvala from Barcelona, one of the promoters of the international solidarity initiative #WithCatalonia
  • Angela Haggerty, Commonspace editor and Sunday Herald columnist
  • Stuart Graham from from the union Unison in Glasgow City
  • A local representative of the ANC Scotland/Alba
